RIP: Prince Chunk, a fat cat who gained national attention in 2008 after he was abandoned by his foreclosed-upon owner and spotted roaming the streets of New Jersey, passed away Sunday at the age of ~10.
While it was reported by the Camden County Animal Shelter that the rescued feline weighed a staggering 44 pounds, his adoptive owner Vince Damiani says Prince Chunk actually weighed closer to 20.
The Damiani family started a foundation in Chunk’s honor, the Prince Chunk Foundation, which is dedicated to helping those in financial distress keep their pets.
